Lana Del Rey has a handful of interesting collabs featured on her upcoming album Lust for Life set to drop on Friday. A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carti teamed up for the latest release, “Summer Bummer”.
Reflective of its name, this track holds the traditional Lana sound – sultry and dark. Along with clear, vivid lyrics, Del Rey’s chorus repeats, “Don’t be a bummer, babe. Be my undercover lover, babe.” A$AP and Playboi Carti lend bars that break up the solemnity of Del Rey’s sincere vocals.
After Lana Del Rey posted snippets of the single on her Instagram, the collab finally premiered on Beats 1 Radio by Zane Lowe last Wednesday. Additionally, “Groupie Love” featuring A$AP Rocky, a title track featuring the Weeknd, and “Love” have all been released off the album so far. The album has tracks featuring Stevie Nicks and Sean Ono Lennon as well.
Lust for Life is Lana Del Rey’s forth studio album following 2015’s Honeymoon.
