On May 28th, 2018 the Warriors faced off with the Rockets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, the series was tied 3-3. So as you can expect, winner takes all. The Rockets had a good chance at beating the Warriors and advancing to the finals but sadly fell short. The final score was 101-92. The Rockets were winning and outscored the Warriors in the 1st and 2nd quarter. But just like a lot of people thought, the Warriors came back and outscored the Rockets in the 3rd and 4th quarter which allowed them to take home the win.
In the 1st quarter, the Rockets scored 24 points to the Warriors 19, in the 2nd quarter they scored 30 to the Warriors 24. They were off to a really great start but slowed down. Many suspected that it had a lot to do with the fact that Chris Paul was out for Game 7 and the Warriors used that to their advantage. The Warriors scored 33pts in the 3rd quarter allowing the Rockets to only score 15. In the 4th quarter, the Rockets tried to come back scoring 23 points but the Warriors scored 25. The Rockets abysmal third quarter performance is likely the result of their elimination at the hand of the Warriors
