Released on Nov 2, 2018, Bohemian Rhapsody, earned more than $900 million worldwide. Hoping to replicate that success, producer, Graham King is working on a Michael Jackson movie based on his life and career.
Owning the productions to GK films and scoring three Oscar-nominations, King will be working with Academy Award nominee for The Aviator (2004), Hugo (2011), and Gladiator (2000), John Logan who will be shaping the script for the upcoming film.
Securing the rights to Jackson’s estate, the film is set to span from a child star starting in ‘Jackson 5’ to his death in June 2009. The film will also include Jackson’s allegation of child sexual abuse.
With more news on Jackson, his estate is working and bringing to Broadway in August 2020, an upcoming musical focusing on Jackson’s life and achievements from his ’20s to ’30s, MJ The Musical.
As of April 2019, Bohemian Rhapsody had reached $1 billion from box office receipts and making over $900 million around the world, according to NME.
