Summer will officially be here in just a week! Do you want to change up your summer look up a little? Give your closet lots of color and of course flavor! Be open when shopping for new summer outfits don’t just go to the typical shorts and t-shirts. Mix it up and here’s what to look for.
- Abstract -print shirts: From stylish 1990s to painterly expressionist daubs, these patterns create statement pieces that enliven outfits based on established key items. Monochromatic prints can be more subtle and approachable. Short sleeves dominate this looks. Look for boxy three quarter length sleeves for a true 1990s feel.
- Boxy shorts:
The boxy shorts trend has taken menswear by storm! For shorts, length is mostly unaffected as the trend influences only the width of the garment. Sturdy fabrics such as canvas allow the shorts to keep their shape. The styling is neat and precise with shirts often tucked in, drawing further attention to the girth of the shorts. Pleats and cuffs are an additional detail for the mature market.
- Balloon Pants: As the wider -leg trousers gain momentum, designers push the envelope with harem-inspired pants. Traditional interpretation focuses on a slimmer leg opening, accentuating the thigh-to-knee area, while less directional takes resemble more of a hard taper. Look to pleats and slight drop-crotch to accentuate the thigh. Tuck shirts in to highlight the waistband.
- Detailed utility jacket: The utility jacket is the perfect traditional layering piece. Its four -packet front provides functionality while unexpected detailing, such as subtle placket prints and contrast hemlines, add to its rack appeal.
Cut slightly oversized the jacket plays into the oversized theme: an exposed waist cord gives it versatility, while premium fabrics, such as Fendi’s suede, feel luxurious yet approachable.
- Drop-Shoulder -Sweatshirts: The oversized sweatshirt has become entrenched in designers ranges and exaggerated features are becoming more accepted. Shoulder seams creep lower and sleeves are elongated, creating a dramatic yet approachable puddling at the wrist. Necklines are loose and sit atop a thinner, more elegant ribbing that creates an interesting contrast against the garment’s otherwise larger proportions.
