TLC, one of the hottest, top selling girl groups during the 1990’s and early 2000s is returning to the music scene to release their fifth and final album.

TLC was looking forward to making an album for their fans, with the help of their fans, back in 2015. The group launched a Kickstarter campaign to announce the news, and willingly fans helped their dreams come true, uniting the group by pitching in money to help raise funds for their final album. 4,201 backers helped raise $430,255 towards the project, leaving their manager, Bill Diggins, proud to announce the ladies have been in the studio and the complete body of work will most likely hit shelves towards the end of June.
“This album could not have happened without your support and your confidence in TLC has inspired us greatly to make the best album possible,” Diggins said in a statement. “We would have loved to have delivered this album sooner to you but we are confident that you will agree that it was worth the wait when you hear it. The pursuit of excellence is never an easy task and always takes longer than expected.”
TLC’s hasn’t released an album since their fourth studio album, 3D, almost 15 years ago. The album was available 7 months after the passing of their member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, and featured acapellas from Left Eye’s unreleased materials.
“Sometimes in life we take for granted what is given to us, but in this case there is no lack of thankfulness; for without you this album would never have happened,” Diggins later said. “When you see TLC out promoting the album, performing on television and you are listening to the songs on radio; you should feel proud to say to your friends that you made this happen. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!”
Since the debut of 3D, the group went their separate ways. They later partnered with VH1 in 2013 to release a biographical film, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. The film displayed the in’s and out’s of the music business, stirring both positive and negative feedback from critics.
Seeing as though the singers are known for some of their most popular hit singles, No Scrubs, Waterfalls, and Creep, get ready, as this summer TLC just might release some hits that may have your girl in her feelings.
