I am pleased to announce that You has been approved for a second season.
On New Year’s Eve, I stumbled upon the rom-com on Netflix. My younger sister put it on as we got dressed for an event that evening. Immediately, my eyes were glued!
Not to Penn Badgley’s (Gossip Girl’s Dan Humphrey) odd sex appeal, but to Joe Goldberg’s devious thoughts and sociopathic ways. My brain was ready to absorb all the mischief presented before my eyes and in the end, I thirsted for more.
When it comes to love, Joe Goldberg is the definition of “go to great lengths.” He was introduced to aspiring writer, Guinevere Beck aka Beck, at the bookstore he manages in New York City.
As his story unfolded, so did his character arch as a stalker. Successfully, Goldberg used social media and the internet to stalk Beck.
As he crept in closer, he managed to remove all hindrances in his way- even rich snob Peaches, who seemed to have a crush on Beck. The internet is screaming “Justice for Peaches!”
The jaw clenching thriller will have you hidden beneath your sheets. It might even inspire you to delete your social media accounts. Even though, we all know that feeling would last for only a few minutes.
So, is it safe to say that we stan for another show circulating around an antagonist?
