New Year’s Eve is the best time of the year but finding plans can always seem kind of daunting. If you are a person who likes to party, the stress of another entry fee is raining on your parade and if you are an introvert another party just sounds overwhelming. This year we have created a list of the best last-minute New Years Eve ideas that fit your wallet and your style.
1.Parties
Eventbrite lists 1,000 New Year’s Eve parties? And more than 100 of those are listed as free. However, Pinch Chinese is our favorite pick this year. So, head to this SoHo restaurant for free-flowing Champagne and dim sum. You can expect an open bar, soup dumplings and a Dj that will play from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. $100, PinchChinese.com
2. Fireworks
Skip Times Square and head to the midnight run with fireworks in Central Park for free. Grand Army Plaza will also feature fireworks and live music starting around 10:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
3. Concerts
The annual New Year’s Eve Concert for Peace is a signature event at the Cathedral. You can pay in advance to reserve a seat or come on a first come, first served basis. There is also a list of a variety of concerts on New Year’s Eve on ticketmaster.com
4. Self-care
The Kadampa Meditation Center in Chelsea is just one of the ways to ring in the New Year. For only $50 for non-members can expect hors-d’oeuvres and meditation. Pre-registration is required.
5. Volunteer
