Fashion Nova, the clothing phenomenon that sells chic clothing that won’t break the bank has been nothing short in showcasing this through Instagram posts and is expanding the business from bodycon dresses and menswear, to none other than their own beauty line. Most recently, in a Business of Fashion story that gives a content-rich scope on the brand, Fashion Nova CEO Richard Saghian revealed that there’s a beauty line in the works for their expanding company called Nova Beauty. The range of beauty products will make its first appearance later this year or early next year.
Although FashionNova.com currently offers a small selection of beauty products from lesser-known brands like Bebella, and the Saghian-owned beauty brand Sam Marcel, Nova Beauty is set to expand on that selection of products. Saghian plans to bring on brands that we can find at our local Sephora and Ulta, but the recent story didn’t exactly reveal what to expect.
Furthermore, it’s not all that uncommon for fashion brands to expand into the beauty industry.
Companies like Bohoo.com and PrettyLittleThing.com both launched beauty lines this past year. Fashion Nova is set apart from the rest though through utilizing its platform of 15 million followers across its Instagram accounts and loyal consumers that inadvertently give the brand free promotion through the #NovaBabe hashtag. Nova Beauty can only be expected to get the same hype as the Fashion Nova brand accumulates its success through a band influencers.
